Who we are

Gemstone Memorials Inc. ("Gemstone," "we," "us") makes and supplies granite memorials to funeral homes, cemeteries and monument retailers. We are located at 545 N. Canfield Niles Rd., Youngstown, OH 44515, and you can reach us at 330.792.5500 or sales@gemstonememorials.com.

This policy explains what information we collect through gemstonememorials.com (the "site"), how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers the site and the forms on it. Our retailer portal at deepcarve.online and any signed agreement with us, such as our Master Services Agreement, have their own terms.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you fill out a form, book a call or email us, we collect what you provide. Depending on the form, that can include:

  • Your name, organization, organization type, job role, phone number, email address and mailing address
  • Account details you send to open a trade account
  • Design request details, such as product type, granite color, size, names, dates, epitaphs, symbols, cemetery name and location, and a need-by date
  • Files you upload, such as sketches, photos of a cemetery lot or an existing family stone, completed order forms, purchase orders, bills of lading and photos of shipping damage
  • Order references, such as an order number or family name, and anything else you write in a message

Design requests and orders can include the names and dates of the person being memorialized and details a family has shared with you. Please send only what we need to design and make the memorial.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, our website host and our customer relationship tool collect standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the page that referred you, and the date and time of your visit. We collect this through cookies and similar technologies, described below.

Information from others. A funeral home, cemetery or retailer may share information with us about an order they place on behalf of a family.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Open and manage trade accounts, and send our Master Services Agreement
  • Prepare design proofs and quotes, and make, ship and set memorials
  • Answer questions about orders, mail sample kits and printed brochures, and keep a record of reported shipping damage
  • Schedule calls and video calls you book with us
  • Follow up on your requests and send information about our products and services to trade partners. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time.
  • Understand how the site is used so we can improve it
  • Keep the site and our records secure, and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Cookies and tracking

The site uses cookies and similar technologies:

  • HubSpot. Our customer relationship tool places cookies (such as hubspotutk, __hstc, __hssc and __hssrc) that count visits and record which pages are viewed. If you submit a form, HubSpot can connect your earlier and later visits to your contact record, so we know which information was useful when we follow up.
  • Webflow. Our website host may use cookies and logs needed to deliver the site, protect it from abuse and keep forms working.
  • Adobe Fonts. Our fonts are served by Adobe, which receives limited technical data, such as your IP address, to deliver them.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, but we will not be able to connect your visits to your requests. Our site does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.

Who we share information with

We share information only as needed to run our business:

  • Service providers who process information for us under contract, including HubSpot (forms, contact records, email and meeting booking), Webflow (website hosting), Adobe (fonts) and our email and IT providers
  • Carriers and installers who need delivery or setting details to ship or set a memorial
  • Cemeteries, when we file a permit or coordinate a setting on your behalf
  • Our manufacturing and quarry partners, limited to what they need to supply the stone for an order
  • Professional advisers, such as accountants, insurers and lawyers
  • Authorities or others when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our partners or the public
  • A buyer or successor, if our business is sold or reorganized, subject to this policy

Your choices and rights

  • Marketing emails: use the unsubscribe link in any email, or ask us.
  • Access, correction and deletion: you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will respond within 45 days. We may keep information we need for an open order, our accounting, or a legal obligation.
  • Cookies: manage them in your browser, as described above.

Some U.S. states give residents additional privacy rights. We will honor requests as the law of your state requires. To make a request, email sales@gemstonememorials.com or call 330.792.5500. We may need to confirm your identity first.

How long we keep information

We keep account, order and design records for as long as your account is active and for as long afterward as we need them for warranty questions, reorders, tax and accounting, and legal obligations. We keep contact and inquiry records for as long as they are useful for following up, and delete or anonymize them when they are not.

How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, and we work with established providers that secure the data they hold for us. No website or online transfer is completely secure, so please do not send payment card numbers or other sensitive financial information through our forms.

Children

The site is for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Other websites

The site links to other sites, including our retailer portal and social or partner sites. Their privacy practices are their own, so please review their policies.
